Trace it across domains: the craft of minting and assaying; the metallurgy and chemistry of specie; the esoteric and alchemical mystique of gold; the mythology of hoards and cursed wealth (Midas, Fáfnir the dragon, the Rheingold, leprechaun gold); the heterodox monetary schools (MMT, Austrian, chartalist, commodity-money). Surface the vocabulary each domain uses for the same underlying thing — specie, currency, credit, debt, tender, scrip, coin, note, token, liquidity.
